Obama Campaign Hates On Working Class Americans AGAIN

What does Barack “Mr. Hope and Unity” Obama and his campaign have against white, working class Americans?

One day after being drubbed by Hillary Clinton in Pennsylvania to the tune of 200,000+ votes, Obama’s chief political adviser David Alexrod was on National Public Radio claiming that white working class Democrats barely exist and hardly matter:

“The white working class has gone to the Republican nominee for many elections, going back even to the Clinton years. This is not new that Democratic candidates don’t rely solely on those votes.”

Listen to this foolish statement on NPR’s website here.

This is what happens when you let Facebook, Myspace, and Obama Girl choose your candidate: a glib and ludicrous dismissal of the Democrats’ long appeal to populist-minded, union households since FDR’s New Deal coaliton and yet more evidence of the Obama campaign‘s hyper-leftist, out-of-touch snob appeal. Five of the last six elected Democratic President — James Earl Carter, William Jefferson Clinton, Lyndon Baines Johnson, Harry S. Truman, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt — won because of their appeal to moderate, working class Democrats. The only exception, JFK, possibly stole his election — an ugly fact nostalgic liberals often ignore.

The massive electoral failures of McGovern, Mondale, and Kerry were due in no small part to crippling cases of Snob Syndrome — an affliction apparently contagious in the Obama camp. Between the anti-White hate speech of Obama’s spiritual adviser, his wife’s stump speech anti-Americanism, and the candidate and campaign’s ongoing anti-working class rhetoric and negative race baiting campaign, one wonders why in the world any Democratic voter or superdelegate could still possibly see Obama as anything but unelectable.

Some three weeks after troubling audio from Obama’s autobiography Dreams from My Father started making waves on YouTube…

…and Obama’s now infamous assertion that small-town folks cling to god, guns, and xenophobia because they’re bitter it is plain to see that Obama is far from the transcendent, unifying figure he claims to be: he can’t even unify his own party.

His campaign has played a google of nutty, nasty, negative tricks during this campaign — from blaming Hillary Clinton for Benzair Bhutto’s death to labeling her and her husband racists. This is party unity? No, this is puma (party unity my ass!) His campaign’s inexplicable new insistence on alienating small town, working class Americans is merely icing on the cake.

One hopes that voters in North Carolina and Indiana will have the courage to ignore the shills at CNN and MSNBC put the Obama campaign out of its misery — before he unifies the whole party into real clear electoral oblivion in November.

Do me a favor and don’t speak for the rest of us people of color. I happen to be quite aware of our country’s demons (past and present). I would also like to see a non-white person as president one day. HOWEVER, I still have standards for a candidate. Obama, without his speeches and charisma, is just an empty suit. What the hell has HE done for the black community? What the hell has he done for anyone, for that matter? You damn right I’m supporting Hillary, because she actually DOES more than talk. She takes action. As a result, her accomplishments are evident (and not fabricated like BOs). Whether you care to admit or not, Hillary and Bill have done a lot for Americans (including blacks).

I strongly suggest you do your homework and research more about your precious messiah. See how committed he really is to Americans (including, again, blacks). If you think he will have your best interest at heart, think again. Obama is about Obama, period. He doesn’t give a shit about the American people (including, once again, blacks).

So no. I will not be bullied into voting with my skin color. I’m voting for the person I believe will best fix this mess caused by our current administration.

Obama needs to tell us more about his relationship with Ayers. It’s important because voters might well wonder whether that relationship, coupled with Obama’s longtime relationship with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, is just the beginning of a pattern, a pattern in which Obama seems quite comfortable with people who really, really, really don’t like the United States of America. Change. If you question him or his values or policies, you’re part of the “divisive, distracting” practices voters associate with Washington. If you become an unquestioning, adoring political groupie, you’re not. Them’s the Obama Rules.

  3. Ultra-leftist? Ultra-leftist! You mean like Trotsky? Or Che Guevara?

Please tell us why you use such foolish language? How would you describe a real syndico-anarchist or a good old-fashioned Leninist?

As a Brit I am amazed at how you Yanks manage to hate each other over tiny differences. No wonder you can not look straight at the rest of us.

  4. Wow, here I was cruising along on the Internet and, I guess I took a wrong turn because I appear to have stumbled upon DelusionLand.

Read the quote dude, his advisor said they don’t rely “SOLELY” on white votes. Do you see that word there, “solely”? It means they will have to seek votes from other constituencies as well as white voters. This doesn’t mean they don’t want or won’t court such votes, it means that, on average, such voters go to Republicans. Umm, this is hardly controversial. It’s only controversial when you choose to inanely distort it.

But what else could one expect from the kind of fool who would spend time advocating for a bald faced liar?

And, as far as snobby elitism goes, which candidate will be relying on the “SUPERdelegates” to overturn the normal delegate vote for a win?

    (Hint: It’s Not Obama).

You are right on one account, however, the party is being destroyed…by Hillary. Obama has held an insurmountable lead for two months. The actions of the last few weeks are unnecessary and won’t change a thing. He will be the candidate; just emasculated.

And jackanapes like you are letting her do it.

  6. Is this really the best you can do? you’re ranting about elitist dismissals. they could also be called statements of fact. if you think that axelrod doesn’t wish white working folks voted more for his candidate, you are really starting to lose it. the fact is, working class white folks _do_ actually move right when it comes to general elections. that’s why they call them reagan democrats. you ever heard of clinton republicans? right. me neither. i could honestly care less about the democrats or the republicans, but you guys just continuing to howl about associations and innuendos is n’t going to keep Obama from winning. especially against grandpa Mac. all _he’s_ got going for him is a very temporary cease fire that Al Sadr is going to call off or cease to be able to control by the time it gets good and hot in Sadr City. The war is down the list right now because people can’t fill their gas tanks, but the american people are sick at the thought of iran and syria and North Korea. Cheney’s plan to invade another country before their regime is over isn’t going to help. axelrod doesn’t _want_ to win without the Working White Men; he just thinks it’s possible. if Mac keeps “confusing” the sunni and shiia, and shrugging about the economy, it won’t matter, because everyone will vote for whomever _doesn’t_ have a capital R after their names.

  7. “…white working class Democrats barely exist and hardly matter.”

    Holy mackeral.

Like Obama brushing stuff of the shoulder.

  8. I married into a Jewish family, and never once in 28 years have I heard them play the victim because of the injustices done to them during the Holocaust. Instead they put their noses to the grindstone, tried to educate themselves, went to work for their families, and tried to better their lives. Why can’t the black race do the same, instead of reliving hsitory in order to keep taking from “the man” in the form of affirmative action, etc? What makes you so special that for all eternity you should be repaid for the sins of others? We ALL live in the greatest country on earth, with endless opportunities. Get over your history and make your future something to be proud of, as so many among you have already done. I was sexually, physically and emotionally abused by my stepfather. Am I therefore supposed to hate all men for the rest of my life, and teach my children to do the same? NO! You rise above your past and make the most of who you believe yourself to be! My white Jewish children are not racist. Why would you continue to teach your CHILDREN to be racist??? If you truly want things to change, it has to begin with you. The first step is to end the feeling of ENTITLEMENT! And stop making excuses !!

  9. “Axelrod said, ‘The white working class has gone to the Republican nominee for many elections, going back even to the Clinton years. This is not new that Democratic candidates don’t rely solely on those votes.'”

The white working class seems very susceptible to issues that don’t seem to move the country forward.

People of color hold a unique perspective in this country. Because they are out of the Eurostream they can see the inequities and hypocrisies. The problem is , is that whenever anyone outside the Eurostream questions any inequitble action the Eurostream responds forcefully and angrily. As if discovering that all of a sudden it has on no clothes.

After being lynched, our children firehoused, bitten by dogs and tied and dragged behind moving vehicles, we’re at a point where there is serious consideration of a person of color for the highest office in the land … damn right this is the proudest I’ve ever been of this country too.

Does patriotism mean to NOT say anything at all? Hogwash! Dissent is the highest form of patriotism. Being able to stand in a pulpit and say God damn America IS the point! What freedom to be able to say that. I love this country, once considered a career in the military, don’t wear a flag pin and have no problem pointing out what’s wrong. See above mentioned fire hoses and lynching.

This is the country that turned its back on Katrina victims. That re-elected Bush because gay people getting married just might make the world stop turning. This is the country that killed leaders who tried to pull us past Jim Crow laws, the Tuskegee experiment … so on and so forth.

It’s about race. Billary started it and her thirst for power will override every other common sense I thought she had. She’d rather split the baby in two … it is your precious rural white working class who have the hardest time moving past race. They feel they didn’t get a big enough slice of the pie their white skin entitled them to.
